Been making progress on the door and window casing, with the great help of special visitors from back east! Most of the work is done, I just need to complete the casing on the basement door and both sides of the bathroom door. We're going for a general Arts & Crafts/Mission Style/Crafstman type look, and are combining a few features from each. Since this is the 'Frontier', we're going for that rustic look.

Here I used 1x4 clear pine


Detail of the window jamb and casing. For all the windows we are using what I think is called Post and Lintel.


Here are the French Doors from the main room. All of the doors sit on plinth blocks.


Here is a detail of the door jamb and casing. For each of the doors, note the fillet below the jamb.


Here are the windows in the playroom. These are 1x3 instead of 1x4, to help scale things down a bit due to the lower ceiling.
