Fireplace is here!

Took months for us to choose which one we wanted, and then I built the chase. Then, after another 6 weeks of waiting, here it is! But there is still more waiting to do: I need to connect the gas line, wire it up, build the lower 'step', sheetrock, then stone facing, and only THEN does the store return to install the fireplace guts such as the blower, thermostat control switch, logs, embers, and front doors/screen.

Also had an electrician here today taking a look at what I need to do. I'll probably split the work up with him - he'll do the stuff I can't/won't do (mess with HOT LIVE wires).
